Erlan Wheeler has always enjoyed a glass of fine wine, and he has always
had a dream of someday being involved in the wine business.
Erlan retired from Broughton Foods Company in Marietta, to follow his dream. In January, 1996, he and his wife, Pat, purchased the House of Wines with its combination wine shop and restaurant. Erlan and Pat have visited numerous California wineries during the past 40 years, as well as wineries in other wine producing states. Their travels have not been limited to U.S. wineries, however. The couple has also traveled to France, Italy and Germany. |
| Erlan believes it is very important to pair the right wine
with food, and that there is a wine for everyone and every occasion. With
his vast knowledge of wines, Erlan can offer the customer assistance on
just the right purchase of wine.
